A leading energy firm specialising within the Oi land Gas sector are seeking an experienced structural engineer who has Offshore experience working for a leading operator to join their team in London for a permanent role. This is a great opportunity to join a team growing not just within the UK, but internationally having secured a number of projects.
As structural engineer you will need experience working on minimum facility platforms and FPSO/FSO design for the substructure, topside and bridges. Furthermore you will need an understanding of structural analysis in the areas of, collapse analysis, fire explosion design, boat impact analysis etc. Whilst this is an office based role, you will be expected to travel and work offshore on multiple projects.

Main responsibility

• Experience in offshore platform and floater design.
• Experience in offshore structural materials, fabrication and installation.
• Relevant computer tools skills (E.g. SESAM, ANSYS, etc)
• Must have experience in material estimation, schedule, resource planning and development.
• Experience in the design of the facility.
• Control of project schedule and cost.
• Including preparation of budget.

Required qualifications

• At least degree education in a relatable field (E.g. Civil & Structural).
• Minimum 8 years experience in Oil & Gas industry.
• Experience in preparation of the design.
• Fluent in English
