Job Title: Fabrication Site QC Lead

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

The Fabrication Site QC Lead will provide support, advice and guidance on Quality Control issues to the Project personnel within their assigned site. The jobholder will provide a support function to the Package Quality Lead and to the relevant Project Package Manager ensuring adequate Quality Control resources are managed on site. The jobholder will ensure the effective implementation of professional Quality tools, principles and objectives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Support the Site Manager on all Quality matters.
• Liaise closely with Package QA Lead in production of MRB and all Final Documentation.
• Work closely with Site Manager to support resource provision and management of quality issues, ensuring completion to agreed standards and contractual requirements.
• Ensure all notification for hold and witness points are issued in accordance with project requirements.
• Ensure that all necessary engineers are present at all welding and Coating qualifications.
• Request the necessary inspectors required to follow-up all welding and coating activities
• Supervise the various inspectors on site to ensure that the quality according to specifications is being followed.
• Provide input/feedback to Quality Lead and evaluate need for development regarding Project personnel.
• Support and provide site input to the Project audit schedule.
• Assist in investigation of project high and medium criticality non-conformities.
• Review and take action as required on Site Quality matters.
• Liaise on a regular basis with Site Manager.
• Monitor site QC performance.
• Day to day management of site QC requirements.
• Monitor and ensure Project QC requirements are fulfilled on site.
• Continuously monitor site (based on known KPI’s).
• Liaise with Subcontractor Quality team members on a regular basis.
• Attend regular meetings with Site Manager.
• Be involved in client/project liaison meetings when requested.
• Be involved in client/project liaison knowledge sharing/lessons learned sessions when requested.
• Be involved in subcontractor liaison meetings when requested.
• Monitor and advice in subcontractor audit findings.
• Monitor and advice in subcontractor compliance with contracts.
• Assist in Quality audits on site as per audit schedule.
• Monitor and review Package /project progress with regards to QC.
• Ensure the Company Quality vision, strategies and annual plan is incorporated into project plans.
