JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood's Automation and Controls group is currently recruiting for a part time Safety Instrumented System (SIS) Test Procedures Technical Professional to be located near a client site in Lake Charles, LA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Create Work Instructions for offline/online testing of SIS systems at a large client's refinery. Facilitate the client review and then update of the work instructions.
• Strong familiarity of best execution practices for the work instructions is required.
• Creation of work instruction templates for use by other team members.
• Part time position based in Lake Charles, LA.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering preferred, will also consider Technical Diploma with equivalent Experience.
• 10+ years of experience in a creating Safety Instrumented System (SIS) Test Procedures.
• Proficient knowledge of P&IDs and instrumentation/control equipment.
• 15+ years of experience in control systems integration with an operating company, systems vendor or engineering services provider for onshore or offshore oil & gas / energy industry projects is desirable.
• Hands-on experience with programming SIS (Triconex, Honeywell FSC, Safety Manager, DeltaV SIS) is desirable.
• Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Expert written and verbal communication skills
• Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required
