Job Title: Technical Electrical Specialist
Location: Kitimat, BC (camp and travel provided to out of area candidates)
Rotation: 6 weeks on, 1 day off
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 1 year, likely to be extended to 2 years.
Overview:
Performs a variety of routine and complex integration tasks related to analytical systems and provides technical support on hardware and software. Responsible for delivering customer satisfaction through integration, design, and implementation of analyzer systems in accordance with customer requirements, accepted industry standards, and company standards and procedures. Primary focus is on troubleshooting, repair, software enhancements, hardware enhancements, and modifications, including Instrumentation, sample systems, analyzers, and PLC systems. Gains knowledge and experience on the job.
Duties:
  • Able to integrate analyzer system projects from customer approved drawings.
  • Perform functional testing of completed analyzer system packages. Verifying conformance to customer specification, industry standards, and company’s minimum standards.
  • Analyzes customer needs and provides feedback to operations and sales for additional or expanded services opportunities.
  • Typically supports multiple customers.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Conduct systems operational test.
  • Provides feedback to ops, sales, tech support center, and QA on system product functionality, service task information necessary to maintain quality and competitive standards.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant post-secondary education required (example – Instrumentation, Electrical, etc.)
  • Minium 5 years’ experience in the integration of electrical systems
  • Must have knowledge of the National Electrical Code
  • Must have knowledge of Industrial sampling systems.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
