Job Summary

The Regional Product Manager is responsible for the product life cycle management of engine oil and driveline lubricant products for the International Products region, specifically Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa.

The role covers a geographical region spanning across 10 time zones with a diversity of culture, language and business practices. The lubricant demands in these countries can vary widely, traversing the spectrum of performance standards.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
  • Accountable and has authority over our regional product line strategy and ensures our regional products are competitive and aligns with industry and OEM requirements. Collaborates with all key stakeholders to develop, maintain, and effectively deploy the regional product line strategies. Identify gaps in the regional product line and/or product portfolio. Generate and maintain Region Product Roadmaps by collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Supply Chain, and Procurement.
  • Champions and leads Region Product Lifecycle Management and analysis. Accountable for evaluating and monitoring of regional product line, product portfolios, product lifecycle for profitability improvements. Generate insights from product line reviews and works to implement actions through influence and collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Ensures that all region business cases and projects spend is rigorously reviewed to achieve project objectives. Accountable for high-quality business cases containing product / customer benefits and differentiated product performance that are understood and effectively communicated for endorsement. Works with all stakeholders to ensure that the region's product line is supported by the highest priority OEM endorsements, recommendations, and approvals. Collaborate with Region sales and marketing to develop and submit business cases that include sales and marketing plans on key products.
  • Maintain optimized regional product portfolio to minimize complexity. Responsible for active management of regional product line to minimize complexity and exits from regional product line. Work to reduce the number of non-strategic, low-profit, slow-movers for finished products, package styles, and additives/components.

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in lubricants formulation or additives development.
  • Knowledge of additive technologies and base oils used in lubricant products.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and key drivers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical peers and audiences, across functions, cultures and with different levels.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams critical. Experience working with external customers and internal commercial and technical stakeholders desired.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail a must. Shares information and resources.

Relocation Options:

Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.

International Considerations:

Selected candidate will be based in Singapore under the local payroll system and benefits.
