Join TotalEnergies Renewables USA, LLC as a Project Control Lead contractor reporting to our San Francisco, CA or Houston, TX office . T his is a new addition to our team as we are strengthening our presence in renewable energies.

As a Project Control Lead for the Biogas Project, you will be responsible for overseeing project control activities, ensuring effective contract administration, and providing project support services. You will lead and develop the project control team, manage costs follow-up, integrated planning, monitor progress and reporting, and support the preparation and management of contracts and agreements.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Additional certifications or qualifications in project management or contract administration are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in project control, contract administration, and project support services, preferably in the biogas or renewable energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of project control methodologies, tools, and techniques, including integrated planning, progress monitoring, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with technical contracts, contract management principles, and industry-standard contract forms (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, etc.).
  • Proficiency in using project management software, document control systems, and scheduling tools.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and facilitate effective contract negotiations.
  • Sound understanding of cost control principles and financial analysis.

Activities

The Project Control Lead will:

  • Lead and develop the Project Control, ensuring adequate support for all project-related matters to cope with the increasing workload.
  • Administer technical contracts, including Owner engineering, FEED contractor, and Construction support, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and execution of the FEED Kick-Off Meeting and conduct phase reviews as necessary.
  • Implement global monitoring of integrated planning, including the coordination of dedicated meetings to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  • Prepare, schedule, and facilitate weekly/monthly progress meetings, ensuring accurate tracking of project milestones and deliverables, follow-up of the actions lists
  • Monitor and follow up on weekly/monthly reporting, cost control, document control, and scheduling activities to ensure timely and accurate project status updates.
  • Handle the preparation of Call for Tender (CFT) documents, including contract agreements, exhibits, Design dossier readiness, Invitation to Tender (ITT), clarification, analysis, and Request for Technical Approval (RTA).
  • Collaborate with the procurement and legal teams to ensure proper contract management, including the preparation, evaluation, and negotiation of contracts and agreements.
  • Support contract and agreement management activities, including vendor selection, contract administration, change management, and claims management.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to address project control-related issues promptly.
  • Develop and maintain project control procedures, tools, and templates to standardize and streamline project control processes.
  • Monitor project risks, identify potential issues, and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Support project management in decision-making by providing accurate and up-to-date project control data and analysis.

What We Provide

The anticipated hourly salary for this position is $85-105.
