JOB DESCRIPTION

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the mechanical maintenance team on the offshore gas platform.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for mechanical equipment and systems to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of mechanical systems and equipment to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other departments, including operations and procurement, to ensure timely availability of spare parts and resources for maintenance activities.
• Analyze equipment performance data and trends to optimize maintenance schedules and improve reliability.
• Participate in the planning and execution of major maintenance and overhaul projects, including shutdowns and turnarounds.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations during all maintenance activities.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
• Prepare Permit/TRA and take Performing Authority role at site during implementation/maintenance
• Higher National Diploma (HND (A-levels + 3 years' study))
• 5 to 10 years experience in the maintenance field on O&G production installations,
• A basic knowledge of the process of O&G treatment, and installations and a thorough knowledge of the Mechanical equipment used in O&G treatment installations:
• Screw (lubricated and no lubricated) compressors
• Centrifugal and reciprocating pumps
• Bearing and mechanical seal replacement
• Suction/discharge check valve troubleshooting/standard exchange

QUALIFICATIONS

• Alignment using a laser tool
• Piping valve/element replacement
• Condition Based Monitoring (vibration & lube oil analysis, thermography)
• Pride in his work, ability to maintain good relations with colleagues and others,
• Physical ability to work on offshore installations in the climatic conditions of the site,
• Local Electrical Safety Group Certificate (I to III)
• CompEX Ex F, Ex01-04, EX11
• ECITB Mechanical Joint Integrity - MJI 10
• ECITB Mechanical Joint Integrity -MJI 18
• Compression fittings & small bore tubing - ECITB SBT 01, 02, 03 and ECITB TSBT 01, 02, 03
• OPITO Rigger Training (Stage 1 & 2)
• Perfectly competent and independent in his field, he must show common sense and organizational ability
