Certification Manager (f/m/d)

In this position, you are responsible for the management of product conformity assessment . You'll work with several internal function and as well with national and international Certification Bodies, with the goal to achieve offer compliance, to ensure the market access and furthermore to differentiate the offer of IC&D. The major focus of this position will be on certificates and declaration of Conformity for Medium Voltage Drives and System Drives.

The Job

The job is multifaceted and includes the following responsibilities:

• Planning, Monitoring and Executing of the conformity assessment activities (incl. Coordination of the Certification Engineers)

• Consultation of Marketing for international or segment market access (form compulsory to volunteer conformity assessment)

• Collaborate with and advise Project Teams how to achieve the offer compliance

• Assess the conformity of our offer according standards or other statutory requirements

• Coordination with Certification Bodies

• Conformity requirement definition and alignment with suppliers

• Alert Management (example in chase of changed statutory requirements)

Profile
Engineer in HW, Mechanical, Software or alternate education with at least 10 years of experience in Industrial products. following competencies are expected:

• Knowledge about the interpretation and Application of Standards
(beside other: IEC 61800 series, UL 61800, UL 508A, IEC 61508, IEC 61439, IEC 62271, UL347A...)

• Knowledge in product compliance assessment for international market

• Knowledge in application of European Directives (LVD, EMC, Machinery, RED, ...)

• Basic Knowledge in international marketing

• Mastering English language is mandatory, German language is recommended

• This position also requests soft skills such as: Organized, rigorous, diplomat and pedagogue.
You need to be able to come to compromises, but you can push strongly when required, to ensure the compliance of our offers

If a competency is not mastered yet, a training plan will be set in order achieve the right level.

This position reports to the Conformity Assessement Director (Mathieu COURTAUD)
