JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood has been awarded a major project with ADNOC and, we are looking to hire a Lead Process Designer to be based at our Abu Dhabi Engineering Center.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop process diagrams, flowcharts and other visual aids to document complex processes.
• Analyze existing processes and develop proposals for process improvements.
• Develop detailed process maps and related documentation to ensure accuracy.
• Work with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and develop process models to meet their needs.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and cost savings.
• Evaluate proposed changes to existing processes and develop implementation plans.
• Monitor process performance and suggest changes as needed to improve efficiency and/or effectiveness.
• Utilize SP3 D, software to develop Piping & Instrument Diagram .
• Develop and maintain a library of process diagrams and related documentation.
• Provide technical guidance on process improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology
• Minimum 15 years of experience in design and preparation of SP3D P&IDs deliverables for Chemical/ Oil and Gas Industrial Projects, including minimum (2) years (preferred) in GCC region.
• Certificate course in SP3D, Process Designing would be an advantage.
• Experience in Process Engineering Design Environment
• Ability to check engineering design deliverables in a multi-discipline task force-based engineering design environment.

  • Smart Sketch
  • MS office
• Onshore and Offshore experience, ADNOC experience is desired.
• Experience FEED, Detail design and EPC projects.
• Fully coherent in all international codes and standards
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English is required.
• Assurance of tender and supply for all Telecommunication & Instrument equipment
• Thorough knowledge of DCS, ESD, F&G and SCADA systems generally incorporated in major Brownfield oil / gas offshore projects.
• Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage.
