Responsibilities

Weatherford has a opening for a Plant Controller in Huntsville, TX You will be responsible for acting as a business partner to the management team of a manufacturing facility enabling strong business performance and ensuring adequate controls. The position will provide day to day support to the management team in line with the performance objectives of the Manufacturing Director and in compliance with company controls and compliance. This position will report directly to the Manufacturing Controller and functionally to the Plant Manager.

Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
  • Control of day-to-day Accounting and Finance Activities including: -
    • Job cost variance.
    • Cost roll activities
    • Payable controls
    • Cash flow projections and activities.
    • CAPEX, Inventory Controls.
    • Cycle Counts
    • JDE reporting and action on correction required.
    • Hyperion upload and action on corrections required.
    • Involve in banking finance and routine operation activities.
    • Month end reporting, review and analysis.
  • Budget
    • Preparation of Budget, Forecast and comparisons.
  • Audit
    • Statutory audit, Internal Audit and financial reports.
  • Operations Activities
    • Review and analysis daily shipments, receipts and Direct Labor Hours
    • Involve in day to day manufacturing operations for Cost cutting and process improvements.
    • Preparing monthly targets for operation staff for shipments and Direct Labor hours and Inventory.
    • Control in operational cost including operating supplies/ Repairs/ Overtime.
  • Continually assess productivity and efficiency with a view to improve.
  • Plan and schedule equipment acquisition and storage, considering such factors as availability, costs, and other economic projections to meet current, short and long term customer requirements.
  • Develops periodical reports on jobs accomplished, personnel and equipment utilization, sales and inventory, generated revenue and incorporated costs.
  • Monitors and coordinates with other departments the delivery of services, tools and/or equipment; compares records with contracts/purchase orders requirements and reports discrepancies to Management.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of staff to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits
  • Reviews the time-sheets of staff & equipments and the related financial dues.
  • Set and manage the production budget
  • Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
  • Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
  • Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

  • Accounting and Finance departments
  • Authority to Stop any unsafe done in the company
Qualifications

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, Economics or comparable business related field plus Professional degree.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of manufacturing accounting experience.
  • Advanced degree or certification(s) preferred.
  • Additional accounting experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Hyperion and the monthly processes used to collect data.
  • Knowledge and application of US GAAP Technical and analytical proficiencies.
  • Attention to detail with ability to translate into the big picture.
  • Logical reasoning, critical thinking, and problem solving skills to troubleshoot issues.
  • Organization and multi task skills.
  • Strong work ethic - sense of urgency and ability to prioritize requests; ability to multi-task and to work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines while producing timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Ability to understand complex data and to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, demanding environment with time constraints.
  • Eagerness to accept diverse responsibilities and receptiveness to change.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a group environment.
  • Understanding of how systems are interfaced.
  • Hyperion - experience using HFM/Essbase as an Advanced End User including SmartView and FR Studio.
  • MS Office Suite Proficiency (use of macros and advanced Excel formula functionality).
