We are seeking to recruit on behalf of our client a DEPUTY PROJECT MANAGER (MARINE) who will be based in SAUDI ARABIA on a long-term residential contract.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee all the construction activities to achieve the construction requirements, so to ensure the project will be completed to a high quality, according to schedule, budget and HSE standards

Manage/Assist Project team on all Project management activities.

Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of marine construction project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Actively manage all project reporting and records keeping.

Actively lead/ Participate in Contracts management.

Manage/ participate in all QA/QC procedures set forward by project lead.

Manage pre contract Scope including reviewing technical specification, sections of BOQs, handle tender query responses, manage the PQQ process with support and input into value engineering at each design stage.

Handle post contract and progress tracking, contract administration, on site walks with project teams, prepare weekly reports, draft monthly reports, and weekly dashboards.

Oversee all the construction activities to achieve the construction requirements, so to ensure the project will be completed to a high quality, according to schedule, budget and HSE standards.

Manage/Assist Project team on all Project management activities.

Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of marine construction project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Coordinate the sub-contractors’ activities.

Oversee HSE requirements and ensure their implementation.

Liaise with engineering, construction, procurement, logistics, project management with a view to supporting and optimizing the overall site construction effort.

 Develop presentations to senior management.

 

Experience/Qualifications Required

BA in Civil Engineering

Minimum10 years of overall work experience on large marine projects (>100M USD), working for a Tier 1 contractor

Minimum (3 years of work experience as Construction Manager in large marine projects, working for a Tier 1 contractor.

At least 1 successfully delivered EPC (aka DB) project as a Project Manager or Construction Manager, from the type of projects below:

quay-wall made of concrete blocks, experienced in diaphragm walls, and/or combi-wall with depths below -15.00

OR

rubble mound breakwater with concrete armour units and marine methods of, with depths below - 7.00 OR o jetty with at least 300m long access trestle on piles

Proven exposure to marine construction activities such as piling, concreting and installations, and marine equipment such as floating crane and jack-up barges.

Demonstrated commitment to QHSE and knowledge of marine construction QHSE requirements.

Proven experience in developing Construction Execution Plans, including constructability plans.

Previous experience in preparing Method Statements, including heavy lift and transportation studies.

Demonstrable track record of on time delivery within budget combined with sub-contractor management, with a focus on contractual requirements.

Able to coordinate and influence engineering, procurement, and logistics teams to achieve construction requirements.

Excellent command (written and oral) of English language
