We are currently looking for a Senior Reservoir Simulation Engineer with 15 + years of experience. Our client is a major Oil & Gas production Company in Libya.

Main Function of the job:
Using advanced computer modelling techniques and simulation software to asses reservoir performance, estimate how much oil and gas can be recovered from reservoir, study reservoir characteristics and determine which methods will get the most oil or gas out of the reservoirs and monitor day to day operations to ensure that optimal levels of these resources are being recovered.
Duties and Responsibilities: -
• Using advanced numerical simulation techniques to forecast oil and gas production from both existing and new hydrocarbon fields.
• Analysing geological data, creating reservoir models, and implementing strategies to optimize production efficiency.
• Collaborate with geoscientists and production teams to design and implement reservoir management plans Includes drilling optimization, reservoir stimulation and enhanced oil recovery method.
• Evaluate and optimize reservoir and well performance.
• Coordinate with operations department to optimize daily production and water injection performance.
• Identify, implement and monitor capacity enhancement opportunities (such as work over recommendations).
• Analyse pressure build up and fall off test using Ecrin Suite software.
• Gather data, representation, and visualizations of reservoir and well performance using maps, graphs, tables, trends, and others to aid understanding and improvement of reservoir management.
• Perform hydraulics modelling for wellbore analysis using integrated production modelling tool.
• Implement the reservoir surveillance activities in accordance with established engineering practices.
• Perform analysis of production performance data and prepare recommendations to address performance gaps / business improvement needs • Analyse fluid properties data and recommend the proper procedure for sample analysis.
• Develop progress reports against agreed Reservoir Engineering work plans, prepares contingency plans and recommend changes to the work program based on findings
• Keep abreast of a new technology and integrate innovative technology to apply for production enhancement.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education: B.Sc. degree in Petroleum Engineering.
Minimum 15 years experience in Reservoir Engineering includes exploration wells, natural fracture reservoirs, evaluation PVT and scale.
Strong knowledge in petrophysical analysis, open/case hole evaluation, eclipse, petrel and PTA.
Very good English written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, management and technical analysis skills.
computer skills MS office.
