JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is currently recruiting for a Civil and Structure Construction Supervisor (Iraqi local nationals only) this position, and work pattern is 4 weeks ON X 4 weeks OFF, we can only consider applications from local Iraqi nationals residing in Basra and surrounding areas.

This is a highly strategic role within the department and the ideal candidate will be at Principal or Lead level in their career with extensive years of experience within the industry in a similar role

The Phase 1 will restore, upgrade, and develop the current plant (CPF1) including: Restoration of initial CPF1 capacity; building a new export pipeline (24", ~30km); restoration of CPF1 integrity and operability (dated 2008); flaring reduction by Q1/Q2 2026 and released water; development of new flowlines, pads, and electrification network for approximately 30 new wells; debottlenecking of the plant; upgrade of the Safety and Security facilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and control the selected Contractor's to carry out the Civil & Structural works in their premises in prefabrication and under construction on the Sites.
• Ensure the proper execution of the works in compliance with safety and environmental protection procedures, technical specifications, budgets, and schedules,
• Optimize and follow the work schedules, to do this check the good organization of the logistics and the Contractor's site,
• Ensure good coordination / interface between the Site (the Contractor and the Operator) and the Construction Manager and the various entities involved in the project (the INSPECTION, TOPOGRAPHY, LOGISTICS departments, the COMMISSIONNING team, the organizations officials for the events, etc.),
• Check the procedures and task sheets of the Companies, participate, or control the risk analyses, help in the preparation / check the work permits,
• Check the technical information provided by the Contractor and its consistency,
• Monitor supplies for the smooth running of the site. (Verification of equipment or consumables).
• Mainly ensure the general supervision of Structural, earthworks and civil engineering, building construction,
• Anticipate all potential problems, propose, if necessary, alternative "practical" solutions,
• Provide occasional general supervision of the works:
  • All Structural Construction works (primary, secondary, and tertiary) structural works,
• Civil engineering: Marking and realization of track, realization of various protections,
• Construction control (structural work, finishing work, concrete test control, etc.).
• Ensure the receipt, control, and transmission of all Contractors' documents,
• Establish the daily report (progress of work, number of people, highlights, etc.),
• Participate in weekly meetings, (preparation or control of meeting minutes),
• Validate the acceptance of the works with the Construction Manager and the Contractors.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Support and enforce project guidelines and HSE objectives.
• Attend HSE meetings and training when necessary.
• Participate in Job Safety Analysis, make suggestions, stop dangerous situations, and report anomalies and dangerous acts.

The Civil & Structure Construction Supervisor is responsible of all Civil & Structure Construction works related to all different Project Construction Packages and modifications works in respect of the following: 1) safety, 2) cost efficient, 3) high quality according to specifications, 4) in time, 5) in line with legal aspects and 6) with minimum disturbance Ratawi CPF1 operations. Will guarantee transparency in relations with subcontractors.
