Are you ready to bring the right energy to Petrofac and help us deliver a better future for everyone? JOB TITLE: HSE COACH

Overall LWIV-based oversight of Health, Safety and Environmental commitments in compliance with Company and Vessel SMS, project specific plans, approved regulatory documentation, and applicable Company policies. Offshore HSE Coach will report to Senior Well Services Supervisor on a day-to-day basis and will liaise with office-team through the LWIV Superintendent and HSE Advisor.

Key Responsibilities

The specialist day-to-day activities will include:
  • Ensuring that QHSE culture is visible, demonstrated and sustained on the vessel.
  • Provide Lead within Company offshore team in all aspects of safety, occupational health, and environmental issues and coach all personnel in these aspects.
  • Provide HSE input and coaching into all high-risk work activities during planning and execution.
  • Monitor SIMOPs activities.
  • Act as offshore Custodian of the Environmental Commitments Register (ECR), coordinating documentary evidence collection for close-out reporting.
  • Support project in ensuring HSE compliance offshore, ensure all Safety Case (SC) and Safety Case Revision (SCR), Environmental Risk Management Plan (ERMP) and Safety Management System (SMS) commitments are met and perform regular HSE audits and verification inspections in the areas of business and vessel operations.
  • Attend pre-job, planning and client meetings as required on HSE related matters. Focus to be given to high-risk activities, with active participation in planning process.
  • Ensure training, tool-box meetings, and drills are implemented per project requirements. Gather documentary evidence to meet Company requirements.
  • Provide necessary HSE inputs to Daily Drilling Report.
  • Participate and provide support in incident investigations as directed.
  • Conduct HSE training and orientation to all new arrivals offshore, particular emphasis to be given on requirements of ERMP.
  • Ensure all worksites are HSE compliant with Company policies and safety standards.
  • Assist in ad-hoc HSE tasks/projects as required.

Additional activities may be requested from time to time for additional onshore support including:
  • Provide adhoc coverage for the Onshore HSE Advisor as required.
  • Familiarisation with all SC, SCR, ERMP, OPEP and other pertinent requirements. •
  • Assist in the development of HSE Plans and monitoring schedules.
  • Familiarisation with the Chemical Management process.
  • Assist with preparation of project specific offshore inductions.
  • Assist with onshore readiness to operate audit requirements and develop an offshore audit schedule.

The postholder is expected to adhere to the Golden Rules of Safety (transitioning to The 9 Lifesaving Rules in 2020) and the Petrofac Values.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Minimum requirement of a Cert IV in OHS or similar.
  • Qualifications in QHSE or related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of the NOPSEMA and DCCEEW Regulatory Framework, including Safety Case Regime and Environmental Approvals process.
  • ISO 31000 training.
  • Certification - Offshore Medical (UKOG), T/BOSIET, FOET (OPITO), CA EBS (OPITO).
  • Advanced MS Office Skills.
  • Demonstrated team player, with good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks.
  • Excellent communicator with open approach in sharing knowledge.
