Position: Data and Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary:

Data and Infrastructure Engineer responsibility is in two main aspects; First, responsible for organizing, collecting, processing, and storing of data from different sources and transforming raw, unstructured data into formats that can be used for analysis including architectures such as databases, servers, and large-scale processing systems. Second, responsible for the design, planning, management, maintenance, and support, and any other technological duties associated with an organization's cloud computing environment including support of an application on any Schlumberger supported cloud.

Network/Server Infrastructure Management:

• Design, implement, and maintain the organization's Network/Server infrastructure
• Provide support for the installation and configuration of Network/Server/server devices and systems.
• Ensure the stability and performance of the Network/Server

Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution:

• Diagnose and resolve Network/Server issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and address escalated
  Network/Server problems.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement preventive measures.

Network/Server Security:

• Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard the Network/Server infrastructure.
• Monitor Network/Server security, conduct regular audits, and respond to security incidents.

Performance Optimization:

• Monitor Network/Server performance and implement optimizations for efficiency
• Conduct capacity planning to ensure the scalability of the Network/Server.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of Network/Server configurations,
  processes, and procedures.
• Create Network/Server diagrams and documentation for internal and external use

Relationships:

Reports to the Data and Infrastructure Team Lead

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field .

• Proven experience as a Network/Server Engineer or in a similar role.
• Solid understanding of Network/Servering protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
• Hands-on experience with Network/Server hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
