Position Summary

Purpose

The Integrity Engineer Data (IE) is to assist the Senior Integrity Engineer (SIE) - Data Management to solve a range of asset integrity management solutions with data capture programs. Delivering cost effective and value adding solutions for mechanical integrity and corrosion engineering.

Responsible for the quality and timely delivery of work based on client agreed scopes, internal projects for data capture programs

Duties & Responsibilities

Functions

ESSENTIAL
  • Provide support, analysis and solutions to our clients which including Pressure Systems Integrity Management / Corrosion / Inspection Management / Risk Based Assessment / Legislation / Performance Standards and compliance activities for Pressure Systems in accordance with client contractual requirements. Work is often autonomous.
  • Ensure projects are performed in accordance with industry codes/standards, legislation, accreditation, and Oceaneering or Client policies/procedures.
  • Provide technical supervision for integrity engineering discipline, designating work and quality standards where applicable to junior engineers within their technical capabilities.
  • Write accurate and concise reports or documents.
  • Preparation of proposals, tenders, presenting to clients and case studies.
  • Promote the use of innovative methods or specialist technology in order to optimize engineering efficiency and ensure Oceaneering take the initiative in all Integrity matters in order to consider available options or opportunities that could enhance efficiency, and/or safety or decrease costs, to the benefit of Oceaneering or clients.
  • Support the Senior / Principal Integrity Engineer in technical delivery and cost management including budgets/forecasting.
  • Some travel may be necessary e.g. client premises, site visits as required.
  • Field experience with conducting asset integrity inspection and understanding and developing workflows.
  • Experience with preparing Inspection and Test Plans, assessing inspection findings and generating followup actions
  • Strong communication skills for understanding client requirements to guide conversations around requirements.
  • Strong data manipulation skills & Excel proficiency for manipulation of client datasets and media into useable formats to author forms with varying levels of complexity.
NON-ESSENTIAL

  • The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post
  • Programming proficiency nice to have, python, SPFX, javascript, BI etc
  • GIS proficiency

Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.

Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.

Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Qualifications

Qualifications

REQUIRED
  • § Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline in a relevant subject (e.g. Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, Engineering Science)

  • DESIRED
  • § Award of professional engineer status within local region
  • § Offshore medical and survival certification
  • § API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspector, API 570 Piping Inspection, API 580 Risk Based Inspection, API579 FFS or equivalent e.g. ASME/CSWIP Plant Inspector Level 2

  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

    § Minimum 3 (P6) or 5 (P7) years of specific experience related to the job description

    § Work independently and demonstrate extensive technical expertise and in depth knowledge

    § Individual should offer one or more elements of specialization:

    o Background in material & corrosion engineering

    o Background in inspection management, pressure systems scope of examinations (including NDT)

    o Risk Based Assessment / Inspection

    o Fitness for Service calculations

    § Expert on ambiguous projects that require high levels of problem solving.

    § Knowledge of standards, risk assessments and legislation associated with the integrity of plant and equipment

    § Familiar with QA/QC systems/procedures

    § Good communicator, both written, verbal and technical to make complex terminology simple for the benefit of others

    § Good client or support contractor relationship skills at various levels of seniority or diverse cultures

    Working Conditions

    This position is considered predominantly OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.
    • Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night
    • Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place
    • Work surface is stable (flat)
