Where you fit

Consumers in India are highly selective and hugely receptive in picking out a brand they can trust. Shell Automotive Lubricants India have an exciting plan to reach out to such consumers through a value chain comprising of Trade, Garages, Franchise Workshops & Mechanics. Distribution to these value chains is led by a team of dedicate Sales reps managed by capable Distributors.

As Zonal Sales Manager, you would lead, manage, develop, and motivate a sales team managing Automotive Distributors & Direct Accounts for the zone.

What's the role?

As Zonal Sales Manager, you are expected to deliver top line growth by selling Shell CVPs to preferred segments through a network of selected, committed, structured and profitable Distributors, in line with Shell HSSE policy and Shell General Business Principles.
  • Delivery of sales volume and margin targets
  • Delivery of premium vol/margin targets
  • Planning and delivery of sales fundamentals (coverage, penetration and throughput)
  • Working with RTM team to create pipeline of distributor partners as per network strategy.
  • Joint business planning and process implementation with key distributors to ensure mutually profitable and strategically aligned growth
  • Ensuring the channel is delivering sales volume following aligned ways of working (for example, digitalization).
  • Coaching and motivating the ICAM team to overachieve their KPIs and creating pipeline of talent for next roles
  • Working with sector marketing and activation teams to create robust marketing programs for delivery of tertiary goals such as mechanic activation, scan volumes, in-shop promotions
  • Supervision of channel and trade program management: delivery of aligned targets and 'picture of success' in the stores, program
What we need from you

  • Graduate of Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Business with minimum work experience of 12 years.
  • Proven track record in coaching, leading and inspiring teams
  • Significant Sales experience, with proven success in developing profitable business.
  • Strong Customer focus, preferably with Key Accounts and Distributors.
  • Strong Channel Management experience
