About the Job

The Project Manager is an Internal IDS facing role. He/She will be the focal point and manage IT Infrastructural projects which would include:

1. Project Management: Coordinates the work streams including internal coordination with the corresponding teams and with the Global Project Management team (PMO).
2. Communication: On regular and ad-hoc basis, project factors need to be communicated by the PM to key actors stated above.
3. Facilitate technical discussions: with his/her Infrastructure background prompt the technical leads, challenge technical decisions and ensure a common technical approach for the project between different stakeholders

The main responsibilities within this project will be:

• Working closely with the different Business Analysts and Development Teams to track progress and identify risks and issues.
• Liaising with main stakeholders such as Domain Leader, Project Management Office, Project Sponsors, Application owners, Release Teams and to coordinate on project tasks, timelines, costs, change requests and RAID logs.
• Work closely with IT Industry vendors and consultants when applicable to conduct technical assessments, architecture, strategies, ..etc as per project scope

Main Duties/Responsibilities

Main tasks and responsibilities are the following:

• Manages assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of project.
• Develops, maintains, and revises proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, funding, and staffing.
• Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed.
• Establishes and implements project communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders.
• Collects, analyses, and summarizes information and trends to prepare project status reports.
• Update PMIS and create project documents
• Present the project status at various forums
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Facilitate technical decisions and technical conversations. Challenge proposed solutions. Ensure a final technical decision taken aligned between different stakeholder

Profile (Skills, Experience & Qualifications):

Must have:

• 10-15 years in IT project management into IT infrastructure projects
• Deep knowledge of IT projects management
• Experience of working on or supporting complex programs.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies Able to act independently and as a top-level contributor in resolving project strategy, scope, and direction
• Proficient with Office tools, Excel, PowerBi, PowerPoint, MS Teams
• Any certification in IT Infrastructure and will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with MS Project and ServiceNow will be an added advantage.

Technical Skills Required

• Good understanding of IT Infrastructure concepts (servers, storage, backup, network etc.)
• Past experience in Server administration or Network administration is preferable
• Good knowledge of main IT infrastructure technologies, meaning the good awareness of functions and usage in an infrastructure of the following items (deep technical knowhow installing and configuring is welcome but not required), like the following:
  • Datacenter
  • Server, Storage
  • Network (Switch, Router, Firewall)
  • Other IT Infrastructure related technologies
• Professional Certification in any of the above technologies is preferable however not mandatory
• Strong background of IT Service Management and Change Management; this is related to the efficiency to deliver IT Service as outcome of IT Projects, focusing to the time constraints

• Excellent presentation skills ability to create power point presentations & project reports
• Well organized and able to prioritize workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure.

• Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced change environment.
• Highly numerate, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent team player with ability to working closely with others to deliver results.

• Proven track record of working on own initiative, with the ability to introduce fresh thinking to the role and the wider team.
• Strong relationship management skills.
