JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is currently recruiting for an Intermediate/Senior Piping Designer to join our Calgary office within the Oil & Gas Canada business unit. We are looking for a motivated, energetic individual with strong knowledge in Piping Design within an EPC environment.

Our projects team has a long history of delivering some of the biggest and most complex projects in Oil & Gas along with associated pipelines and refinery infrastructure. RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities: .

• Communication with clients
• Create and develop 3D model using various modeling software.
• Create moderate to complex Layout of areas and modules.
• Modeling large equipment
• Reviewing and comment on vendor information
• Adhere to industry codes and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills

• Engineering design and drafting technology diploma or related technical diploma or certificate.
• 10+ years of experience in piping design and layout experience
• Extensive experience working with specific codes and standard practices in the Oil and Gas industry.
• Excellent knowledge of Design Software
• Previously project experience in Upstream Oil Sands is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to provide and manage status updates and provide necessary recommendations.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.
