JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is recruiting for a P&O Business Manager to be based in our Kuala Belait, Brunei office on a full-time basis. The role is responsible for developing a high-performing P&O team with strong business partnering skills to provide innovative solutions to support leaders across the entire employee life-cycle.

The role supports people priorities; delivers employee engagement, talent priorities, workforce planning and resourcing; builds organisational effectiveness; leads change management; and mitigates risk through effective employee relations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the delivery of the P&O strategy as a trusted partner within the BSP contract leadership team.
• Provided advice and counsel in effective people management practices, ensuring that P&O operations and processes within the contract are aligned to the overall business strategy, in line with relevant regulations, laws and best practice.
• Deliver the P&O strategy in support of short and long-term goals of Wood and client
• Management of Brunei P&O team maintaining open and effective lines of communication and role modelling Wood culture, values and behaviors.
• Deliver P&O project implementations for Brunei assessing impacts to business process and roles and effectively managing change
• Provide consultative, problem-solving support to business issues in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Ensure all P&O metrics and reporting KPIs are actively monitored and reported on.
• Maintain expert knowledge of functional specialty by staying abreast of best practices, legal developments, emerging trends, technological advancements and benchmark comparisons
• Drive robust talent management, people development and performance management to build and retain skills needed to deliver the operational needs of the business
• Support and participate in emergency response activities ensuring effective P&O presence.
• Responsible for P&O policy application, ensuring compliance with relevant group standards, regulatory requirements and operating procedures.
• Support the creation of an organisational culture which fosters innovation and collaboration, continuous improvement and change.
• Assure quality on the delivery of people solutions, proactively seeking and addressing customer feedback.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree level qualification in HR or business management preferred
• Experience in business-focused senior HR roles within oil and gas or related industry
• Excellent management and prioritization skills to manage a team and achieve business objectives
• Proven capability in coaching, leading and positively influencing stakeholders to deliver on business strategy and initiatives
• Experience of managing change, putting high emphasis on co-operation and business partnership
• Good knowledge of people practices and applicable legislative frameworks
• Previous experience of dealing with industrial and employee relations issues
• Demonstrated ability to apply translate business strategies into P&O strategy and deliverables that add value to the business and customer
• Safety leadership and promotion of a continuous improvement culture
