Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
People:
- Provides coaching and mentoring as delegated.
- Supervision of Graduate Engineers. Provides input to the performance management of direct reports.
- Manages performance of direct reports.
- Adherence to the discipline specific procedures and providing feedback for continuous improvement.
- Support the development and delivery of the technical safety standard expectations and technical assurance
- Participate in audits & incident investigations as required.
- Represent Operations EMEA discipline in the contract.
- Actively maintaining own competence and continuous development.
- Technically competent in own discipline and actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development.
- Provide discipline support to the business.
- Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promote to direct reports.
- Provide discipline input to scope definition and execution.
- Deputising for Principal as required.
- Executing assigned personal objectives.
- Interact with Multi-Discipline Engineering Teams.
- Supporting and supervising tasks delegated to direct reports.
- Management of third-party suppliers in the execution of Engineering delivery.
- Competent in knowledge of regulatory framework and associated legislation.
- Competent in own discipline to provide support to the business.
- Demonstrate current knowledge with industry and technology development within discipline.
- Demonstrate continual professional development.
- Communication in written and spoken forms.
- Participate in audit and incident investigations as required.
- Project management (basic).
- Commercial awareness.
