JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood has an opportunity for an experienced Principal Civil and Structural CAD Designer that has previous experience of working across Feasibility Studies and FEEDs, plus EPC and PMC projects. This is an opportunity for you to become a valuable, well-rounded of an experienced team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Produce Civil/Structural/Architectural deliverable 3D model and drawings using Tekla or SmartPlant3D i.e. pipe racks and pipe support steelwork, equipment supports and access platform structures, vertical vessel circular access platforms, building, superstructures, underground services, paving, piling, foundations, inclusive of reinforcement detailing and reinforcement bending schedules where applicable
• Drawings to be produced utilizing design sketches as provided by Civil Engineering group and extracted views from the 3D model. All drawings to be produced in accordance with client, corporate standards, specifications and procedures as applicable
• Liaise with respective Civil Engineer on engineering related issues
• Liaise with lead, senior designers and designers from Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, Vessels and Mechanical group as necessary
• Execute assigned work in accordance with the Project Execution Plan, applicable Project Procedures and Standards, including Wood and / or Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control within the man - hour and cost budgets and in accordance with project schedule targets
• Liaise with the Project Co - ordinating Engineer regarding the interpretation of Clients Specifications and Standards
• Responsible for administration and immediate direction of civil engineering and designers on a project. Participate in design and checking work as required
• Ensure that the quality of design calculations and drawings produced for enquiry and construction purposes on projects where he is assigned are of the specified standard

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma in Engineering or other civil related discipline
• A min of 15 years relevant experience. Prefer work experience in Petro - chemical and refinery industrial
• Familiar with CAD software : - Tekla , SmartPlant 3D, AutoCAD, etc.
• Experience in both concrete and steel works - including structure modularization / transportation / installation. Experience in underground drainage 3D & 2D will be considered as advantage
• Prepare and check - construction details and joint connection details
• Able to work under pressure
• Productive, diligent and flexible
