DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION

Subsea7 has internship positions for SCM/ SCM Chartering to join us in our Singapore office. This will be a 6 months program that provides a great opportunity to come and work with us; learn about what we do and what it means to work for Subsea 7. The prospective interns should apply for the specific work tasks that most suit their interests/ career goals.

The main function of the SCM/ SCM Chartering is to assist the APME SCM Chartering Manager in finding and administrating chartered vessels. The SCM/ SCM Chartering will be dealing with all the chartering requirements for the entire duration of the Projects and ad hoc tender support as and when required for APME region (Middle east, Asiapac and Australia).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Become familiar with Subsea 7 Business Management System documents.
• Become familiar with Subsea 7 project and tenders.
• Work in accordance with Subsea 7 approved procedures, using available SCM tools and in accordance with Subsea 7 Business Code(s) of ethic.
• Be part of the SCM team in assisting finding the right vessels for project and tenders
• Maintain and prepare weekly report and Vessel charter analysis.
• Be familiar with Charter party agreement, SAP Ariba and SAP system.
• Intern will be assigned to an experienced SCM Chartering Specialist for any ad hoc assignment.

INTERFACES

• Intern Supervisor - Formal reporting of feedback assessment. Frequent informal communications and assessments are required.
• SCM team/ Project Engineer - Intern will be assigned to a Project Team/ tender and work under the direction of an experienced SCM Chartering Specialist.
• Intern Focal Point - Occasional informal communications are required.

CAPABILITY PROFILE - KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND BEHAVIOURS

• Minimum of enrollment in a Bachelor in any field (Marine, Law, Engineering plus skill but not mandatory)
• Great working attitude, willing to learn and work as a team.
• Contractual skills (plus skill but not mandatory)
• Great negotiation skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Microsoft Word and Excel and Power BI is mandatory (intermediate level).
