The tasks you will solve:
  • The responsibilities of the discipline are technical support and hydrodynamic analysis related to the design and installation of subsea structures, flexible flowlines, umbilicals and cables
  • The engineer will be involved in anything from early phase studies through to detailed engineering and follow-up in the execution phase
What we require from you:
  • Master degree or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline (marine/offshore/ocean technology, naval architecture)
  • 2-8 years of experience within hydrodynamics, marine operations and wave statistics
  • Knowledge and experience using any of the software OrcaFlex, SIMO/SIMA, HydroD and Ansys CFD is an advantage
  • Programming skills (Python) is an advantage
  • Overview and understanding of applicable design codes, industry standards and legislative requirements
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Creative problem solving - able to suggest and develop new methods and ways of working
  • The ability to work in a team, as well as individually with minimum supervision
  • The ability to organize and prioritize own work
  • Understanding of clients' needs and ability to suggest and apply "fit for purpose" solutions
  • Sound communication skills - able to communicate ideas and results to various stakeholders, both in written reports and in meetings, presentations etc.
