Description
If you are selected as the Rig Workover (RWO) / Coiled Tubing Drilling (CTD) Engineer for ConocoPhillips Alaska, you will be specializing in rig-based workover operations and through-tubing sidetracks of existing wells as horizontal multilateral completions. The position reports to the CTD / RWO Engineering Supervisor and resides within a dynamic and highly skilled wells function. This team is responsible for well work planning and oversight on ConocoPhillips Alaska wells, including well workovers and completions, CTD, rig workovers, short rotary sidetracks, and pre-rig well work (service coil, slick-line, and electric-line). ConocoPhillips Alaska wells are located on the North Slope of Alaska. Completions vary from single horizon to multi-horizon selective to multilateral completions. Development drilling continues on a year-round basis, with the oldest wells being of 1960's vintage. The reservoirs are primarily sandstone, separated by shales & faults, and contain light to viscous oil and associated gas. Most are under waterflood and miscible EOR.

The Rig Workover / Coiled Tubing Drilling Engineer position is responsible for supporting and implementing an active year-round program. The program's primary focus is the repair of older damaged or broken wells and redevelopment of North Slope reservoirs with through-tubing sidetracks of existing wells as multilateral horizontal completions.

This is a Safety Sensitive position.
