We are currently looking for experienced and qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter to join the team. You will be responsible for responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on heavy diesel equipment, specifically focusing on excavators including CAT 6040 and Liebherr models ranging from 9250 to 996.

This role requires FIFO from Perth, located in the Pilbara region. We offer competitive compensation, based on your experience level. In addition to a competitive salary, we provide a 2:1 OR 2:2 roster, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of heavy mobile equipment in the Pilbara. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and repair on heavy diesel equipment, specifically focusing on excavators including CAT 6040 and Liebherr models ranging from 9250 to 996 whilst collaborating with a dedicated team.

This position demands a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety. Experience working in a fast-paced environment and excellent communication skills are also essential.

• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on CAT 6040 and Liebherr excavators to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems efficiently to minimize downtime
• Perform diagnostics and fault-finding on large-scale mobile mining equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
• Perform scheduled servicing, inspections, and component replacements according to manufacturer specifications
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and rectify faults in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance activities and prioritize workload effectively
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
• Document all maintenance activities accurately, including parts usage, repairs undertaken, and equipment condition assessments

• Recognized mechanical trade certificate or Skills Assessment in Australia
• Demonstrated experience as a Heavy Diesel Fitter with recent excavator maintenance experience
• Familiarity with CAT 6040 and Liebherr excavator models preferred
• Valid Drivers Licence (Minimum C class)
• Desirable High Risk Work License - Forklift, Working Platforms
• Desirable Working at Heights
• Experience working on a Fortescue site highly desired
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
