If you share our determination to drive the transition to a low-carbon future, then this could be the job for you. We are currently seeking a Piping Inspector, reporting directly to Quality Manager to join our Quality Manager team based in Ensenada, BC, Mexico.

About the Job

Performing complex inspections and works on difficult quality problems at a site, often in collaboration with an Engineer

• Performs critical inspections to evaluate and analyze difficult quality problems, often in collaboration with an engineer
• Conducts quality tests as qualified for (destructive and non-destructive tests) to detect non-conformance issues and identifies the causes of rejects
• Identifies the causes of rejects of complicated cases of non-conformances and follows them for corrective action
• Reads and interprets complicated blueprints and specifications, including customer and vendor specifications
• Assists production during start-up of new fabrication and authorizes commencement of production
• Calibrates measuring instruments using standards and sets up instruments for inspection
• May train other inspectors

About You

Wed love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:
  • Experiences in: EPC projects for the Oil and Gas industry, preferable in construction of Plants, Petrochemicals, etc...
  • Certificate or equivalent / technical background
  • Moderate experience with inspections and non-conformities
  • Certified to AWS CWI or approved equivalent
  • Welding / Non Destructive Testing related experience and / or qualification
  • Fluency in English
