Brunel PNG are looking for a Senior Dispatch Engineer to join our team in a well-established gold mine in Papua New Guinea. We are a leading provider of innovative engineering solutions and are looking for a motivated and experienced individual to join our team.
The Senior Dispatch Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering support to the operations team in Goldmine. This includes developing and maintaining operational systems, managing the dispatch of personnel and equipment, and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. The Senior Dispatch Engineer will also be responsible for providing technical advice and support to other departments within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain dispatch systems to track equipment, vehicles, and personnel movements in real-time
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of dispatch software and hardware components
  • Conduct regular system updates and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise
  • Coordinate the allocation of resources including trucks, loaders, drills, and personnel to various work areas based on production schedules and priorities
  • Optimise resource utilisation to minimise downtime and maximise productivity
  • Monitor equipment availability and schedule maintenance activities to minimise disruptions
  • Work with dispatchers to establish and maintain effective communication channels with operators, supervisors, and other stakeholders to relay instructions, updates, and alerts
  • Provide timely information regarding operational status, potential hazards, and changes in work plans
  • Analyse dispatch data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement
  • Generate regular reports on key performance indicators such as equipment utilisation, cycle times, and productivity


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Expert knowledge of Modular Fleet Management system, preferably in both Open Pit and Underground environment
  • 10+ years of experience in an engineering or operations role
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
