  • Master Petroleum Geosciences, PhD in sedimentology / geology,
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in petroleum geology, with 4 to 5 years in reservoir geology
  • Fluent English

Activities

TotalEnergies is seeking a Senior Reservoir Geologist M/F to contribute to the assessment, optimization, and exploitation of oil fields and CO2storage facilities, as part of the Integrated G&R Studies team.

The position can be based in Pau or Paris.

As a Senior Reservoir Geologist M/F, you will be required to:

  • Respect and promote the HSE rules
  • Validate the geological data and guarantee their synthesis for appraisal / development projects
  • Define and guarantee the quality of the studies for reservoir characterization
  • Develop innovative simple or complex geological models in collaboration with reservoir engineers and geophysicists to optimize fluid flow modelling to address the key heterogeneities identified
  • Ensure the quality of the studies, check the validity and geological consistency of the reservoir models with the other members of the project team (reservoir engineer and geophysicist) Priorities and compose the static uncertainties associated with volumetric calculations and implement the necessary studies
  • Contribute to the drafting of management plans for oil & gas fields or CO2 storage facilities and associated monitoring plans based on risk analysis
  • Monitor operations follow-up of appraisal and development wells, integrate their results, and update the existing models
  • Train the team members in reservoir evaluation's techniques and methods through mentoring
  • Present the results of reservoir studies to internal and external committees
  • Apply the rules of protection and of archiving patrimonial data and ensure the creation of reference databases
  • Represent the Geology business line to partners and government authorities
