Candidate Profile

• Engineer Diploma or Master equivalent or above in Geosciences based studies
• Minimum 10-15 years in the Oil & Gas industry with proved wellsite geologist, operations geologist and/or services companies' positions
• An experience in the geopressure domain would be appreciate
• English mandatory, French nice to have

Activities

TotalEnergies is currently seeking a Senior Operations Geologist M/F to lead projects in the oil and gas sector as well as new projects related to new energy transition projects within its Geosciences & Reservoir (G&R) division. Working with teams passionate by Geoscience and Innovation "for a better energy" you will have the opportunity to develop further a high level of expertise in Geoscience and Reservoir from Exploration New Venture to brown fields production optimization. You will take part in Oil & Gas projects and new energy transition projects like decommissioning, CO2 or hydrogen storage.

The Position is in Pau, in the south of France.

As a Senior Operations Geologist M/F, you will have the following activities:

• Contribute to the safety of drilling and geological operations, to the quality of well data acquisitions / processing / interpretations, to the cost optimization of drilling activities, to the improvement of the technical referential and operational skills,
• Ensure the Peer assistance and HQ coordination on exploration/appraisal/delineation wells,
• Closely involved in the well readiness process, operational follow up and lookback analysis with respect of high technical standards
• Participate to call for tender, assure the follow up of operational performance and associated costs of service contractors in Drilling & Wells,
• Participate to Prospect definition,
• Perform pore pressure prediction studies for exploration wells and highly sensitive (pressure wise) appraisal and development wells,
• Participate in the prospect derisking and maturation process either for new ventures or assets,
• Promote 2G skills within an integrated and cross-discipline team and interacting strongly with basin modelling and geomechanics teams.
