Qualifications and Experience Required

• BBA Degree in Accounting

• Competent in MS office suite, strong Excel and SAP skills, detail oriented

• Good oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with others.

• Minimum 8 years experience in accounting preferably in the energy industry

• High level of integrity

• Must be able to work well with stakeholders across the Company

Activities

Responsibilities

• Reviews the DOA for AFE/AFR files submitted by SSC for approval (prior to supervisor and/or manager approval).

• Reviews AIS/PCF forms submitted by SSC before processing in SAP for assigned business units.

• Submits AFE related journal entries, via the SNOW ticketing tool, for error corrections and on request from the Plants/Corporate office.

• Assists SSC with settlement reports and coordinates resolution of errors with the appropriate plant /corporate personnel.

• Prepares monthly closing reports and reconciliations for review by the supervisor.

• Prepares monthly, quarterly, and/or annual tax reports.

• Prepares midyear and EOY US GAAP schedules and reports.

• Participates in the annual budgeting process and LTP for capital expenditures, depreciation, and amortization forecasts for assigned business units.

• Ensures proper IFRS and GAAP accounting rules for capital vs. expense treatment of certain expenditures.

• Supports Property Accounting Supervisor with SOX compliance, SAP testing as scheduled and maintains relevant documentation

• Prepares audit PBCs and respond to audit requests.

• Prepares various Governmental reports.

• Prepares files for the Annual Asset Review and make sure the retirements are processed.

• Prepares year end Carry Over Reports for assigned business units.

• Creates the capex structure in SAP for the new year in January updating the current year budget.

• Creates new year WBS structure in SAP for assigned business units.

• Supports plants with any questions related to property accounting.

• Subject matter expert in SAP property accounting related transactions and processes.
