Land Access Coordinator

Brunel is partnering with a CSG Operator in Queensland to provide a Land Access Coordinator to work in the Meridian Gas fields near Central Queensland.

The Land Access Coordinator plays a pivotal role. You will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining relationships with landholders and other third parties. Your primary objective is to ensure smooth land access for their operational activities.

In this role, you will:

  • Landholder Relationships: Establish and maintain effective relationships with landholders across operations.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with internal stakeholders and landholders to identify suitable locations for development activities.
  • Negotiation: Skillfully negotiate with landholders to finalize access agreements within specified time frames.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Manage communication with relevant stakeholders whose properties are involved in our activities, including neighboring stakeholders.
  • Liaise with the Project Teams, as and when required, to amend infrastructure locations to better accommodate constraints.
  • Liaise with landholders to permit initial and ongoing access for operational activities.
  • Coordinate all necessary access preparation to support ongoing operational activities (e.g. workovers).
  • Capture all landholder interactions using the X-Info Connect database as per the agreed standard.
  • Liaise with the relevant Traditional Owner parties on the ground to facilitate site inspections.
  • Ensure a safe environment for yourself and others by adhering to all safety protocols, including Workplace Policy and Safety Golden Rules.
  • Exercise the authority to halt any work activity that poses a danger to the team or the public.
  • Obtain approvals for expenditures and commitments in alignment with Delegation of Authority.
  • Promote a workplace free from discrimination, bullying, and harassment.
  • Complete ad hoc duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.


  • Extensive demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Coal Seam Gas industry experience essential!
  • Demonstrated success and achievement across a Queensland Land Access position preferable.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated success managing high-pressure situations and the ability to influence positive outcomes.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel etc.)
  • Basic skills in ArcGIS preferable.
  • A current and unrestricted motor vehicle driver's license.
