Successful candidate would be offered fixed term employment.
About The Job
Perform engineering detailed design on current projects for onshore /offshore projects and to fulfill Departmental needs and support engineering operation within the Company.
1) DESIGN BASIS, CODE & STANDARD
Understanding and applying knowledge of design codes, industries standard and practices such as
API/ISO/ ASME, etc. and Interpretation of the requirement to meet project requirement
Competent to resolve problems /trouble shoot based on Codes & Standards interpretation
Understand Codes limitation, apply with accuracy and effectiveness.
Understanding of Clients specification (e.g. PTS, DEP etc.) and provide service which meet contract
requirements
Review and raise clarifications on the ITB /Client documents/ Contractual documents in case of
ambiguity in definition / lack of clarity / lack of reference/ areas of doubt etc. based on specialist
experience /judgment.
2) KNOWLEDGE OF ROTATING EQUIPMENT
Understanding of rotating equipment used generally in oil and gas / refinery / industries for onshore
and offshore applications, and select correct types of equipment for a given process service application
Understanding and engineering competence in hydraulics, thermodynamics, aerodynamics, rotor
dynamics, combustion etc.
Able to predict rotating equipment performance without over dependence on Vendor
Competent to review Vendors various options (including limitation and /or deviation) and provide
detailed technical evaluation (TBE/TBT) of the equipment.
Competent to review inhouse and Vendors P&IDs and identify interfaces for the equipment
Competent to witness the Vendor FAT / shop testing, and review test reports and provide relevant
comments if any
Competent to participate effectively to resolve any issues related to equipment testing in case of
failures / deficiencies /underperformance /discrepancy during shop testing.
Competent to provide support by responding to Site Technical Queries (STQ) regarding equipment
engineering design /equipment installation / mechanical completion for field acceptance
Competent to explore costsaving options / energy efficient measures during project execution phase
or during proposal, if requested, and if available
Competent to actively involved in the equipment / project HAZOP and close out of any action points
3) MATERIAL SELECTION
Understanding of various types of materials to be used for different services (Wet CO2 service, sour
service, lowtemperature service, toxic service, etc) and knowledge of material available in the market
for the particular service and equipment, and review of Vendor proposes material.
Understanding of materials grades to be used based on processs input / material selection report /
corrosion study, and provide feedback if necessary, incase of the material selected are in questions.
4) WORKING DELIVERABLES

5) VENDOR DATA REVIEW (VDR)
Review on Vendor Data Review to meet Codes and Standards, Local Regulations, project and disciplines
requirements
Competent to interface with other disciplines like piping /stress group, process, civil, electrical,
structural and instrumentation
Able to understand interface issues with other disciplines, and resolve any conflict
Able to conduct VDR meeting with vendor /support Vendor in case of needs to shorten the VDR
duration and to achieve project progress.
6) FABRICATION KNOWLEDGE
Understand fabrication process, critical element/ critical path and how its influence the delivery of
equipment
Able to anticipant effectively to improve delivery schedule of Vendor equipment
7) OTHERS
Good professional judgment, responsive and proactive in execution of rotating equipment
deliverables to meet project needs, and ability to handle difficult situations arise due to complexities
of Project demand
Produce quality engineering deliverables / service and meeting JV/ Client expectation
Fulfill QA /HSE aspects, with acceptable teamworks
About You
The Candidate shall possess a Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E. Hons). Possess at least minimum 4 years of engineering design experiences in various rotating equipment for onshore / offshore application, preferably with experiences in Green Hydrogen, Electrolyzer and Carbon Capture Storage Projects.
