Our client is seeking a Full-Time Pipeline Integrity Engineer to support US based LNG export facility and service the global demand for North American natural gas. This Houston-based position will support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure application of the Transmission Pipeline Integrity Management Manual and its programs across all transmission pipeline assets.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain detailed pipeline integrity plans in alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage historical pipeline integrity data for transmission pipeline assets, conducting data analysis and investigations to identify issues and opportunities.
  • Support the development, execution, and refinement of pipeline major service plans for all transmission pipeline assets, ensuring alignment with historical data trends, optimization objectives, and regulatory codes.
  • Provide support for regulatory compliance of transmission pipeline assets, including assistance with site audits, field visits, and support for PHMSA and FERC visits/data requests.
  • Develop and execute an assurance program for pipeline integrity to optimize integrity plans and maintenance programs for each transmission pipeline asset.
  • Prepare recurring formal transmission pipeline integrity reports for management.
  • Provide regular briefings to transmission pipeline asset owners regarding predictive or observed changes to pipeline integrity.
  • Propose and implement mitigation plans for transmission pipeline assets as required.
  • Support activity related to upstream gas suppliers to with non-standard operational activity, major maintenance planning, and related items.
  • Establish and maintain technical interfaces with all facilities and projects for transmission pipeline integrity management requirements.
  • Develop SOPs and procedures to ensure uniform application of best practices across all VG transmission pipeline assets, liaising with LNG plant operations teams and pipeline project teams as needed.
  • Provide subject matter guidance for Pipeline Operations field team as required.
  • Support development and refinement of transmission pipeline OPEX budgets for pipeline integrity items, including detailed cost planning for major brownfield events.
  • Define required Operator Qualifications (OQs) and training for personnel working on transmission pipeline integrity plan activities, supporting development and delivery of training content as related to pipeline integrity.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities related to transmission pipeline integrity program/manual.
  • Participate in asset decision making by producing and communicating metrics-based risk analysis related to transmission pipeline integrity.
  • Review and comment on Engineering deliverables, plans, and procedures related to transmission pipeline integrity.
  • Support pipeline operations work related to LA811/TX811 one-call programs in the role of transmission pipeline integrity SME.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and an aptitude for team building.
  • TWIC card or ability to obtain one.
  • Strong specialization in pipeline integrity roles in the natural gas transmission pipeline industry.
  • 5 or more years of experience in the natural gas pipeline industry with demonstrable experience in project management (construction or operations).
  • Intimate knowledge of 49 CFR 191 & 192 as applied to natural gas transmission pipeline integrity; understanding of 49 CFR 193 is a plus.
  • Knowledge of applicable natural gas pipeline industry construction practices, PHMSA, FERC, and agency requirements.
  • Working knowledge of gas compression technology, including general construction, commissioning, and operational practices, is beneficial.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of engineering design standards and applicable natural gas industry codes and regulations; must stay current on technology, industry standards, and material.
  • Understanding of asset lifecycle management, system reliability, and gas transmission pipeline operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written/electronic communication skills.
  • Strong HSSE commitment and demonstrated HSSE leadership skills.
  • Valid driver's license and capability to drive and be insured in LA and TX.
  • Physical capability to perform job duties in all transmission pipeline locations, including varied indoor and field environments typical to Louisiana/Texas wilderness areas and Gulf Coast areas.
