We are currently hiring a Project Engineer for our mining client in Trail, BC. You will be responsible for coordinating and controlling projects from pre-scoping to execution handover to ensure completion. We are looking for a dedicated Project Engineer with a passion for engineering and projects and desire to build a culture of cost efficiency through innovation. This is a 24- month contract position.

  • Support the site's business areas to meet their annual, 5 & 20-year major maintenance non-routine and capital project portfolio. This is accomplished through the development of the project scope, schedule (alternatives generation), and third-party engineering/estimating service providers
  • \r\n
  • Establish project functional requirements and acceptance criteria, coordinate project evaluations, and ensure accurate implementation of project elements
  • \r\n
  • Assist with the planning of technical activities to ensure project quality and accuracy are developed through the company stage-gate process
  • \r\n
  • Support and/or develop project peer review and stage gate presentations,
  • \r\n
  • Participate, lead, and direct engineering service provider meetings, take meeting minutes, and track project actions and decisions
  • \r\n
  • Engages engineering consultants to provide design, scope development, project studies, or other engineering tasks
  • \r\n
  • Conducts safety inspections and monthly EHS Reports, shares safety shares, participates in or coordinates the completion of project-specific safety and risk identification and mitigation tasks
  • \r\n
  • May be required to complete additional duties as assigned
  • \r\n

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with a specialization in any of the following: mechanical, mining, chemical/process, civil, structural, electrical/instrumentation
  • \r\n
  • International or valid British Columbia (B.C.) driver's license
  • \r\n
  • Registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of the
  • \r\n
  • Province of British Columbia (EGBC)
  • \r\n
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
  • \r\n
