Overview

We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Knowledge Management Consultant to play a pivotal role in Global Manufacturing Excellence (GME) organizations to lead GME's Global Knowledge Management initiatives.

Your primary role will be to oversee the establishment of a Knowledge Hub and drive continuous improvement through expertise sharing across +75 Communities of Practice (CoPs) management and administration in line with globally recognized best-in-class International Oil Companies (IOCs) knowledge management best practices.

Duties & Responsibilities :
  • Manage end-to-end knowledge capture processes from high-performing assets worldwide.
  • Develop taxonomies and platforms to codify both explicit and tacit expertise.
  • Re-establish, administer, and manage CoPs and expert forums to disseminate best practices rapidly.
  • Benchmark manufacturing processes against industry-leading standards.
  • Identify training needs and knowledge gaps to strengthen capabilities.
  • Ensure integrated knowledge systems and digital tools are optimized.
  • Report on metrics that demonstrate impact on operational excellence.

  • Death Benefit: The company pays an ex-gratia death benefit equal to 24 months base pay if death is from an industrial accident and 12 months base pay if death is non-industrial related.

Minimum Requirements

You must have a Degree in Engineering, Knowledge Management or a related field.

You should have a minimum of 15 years experience leading knowledge initiatives within manufacturing. Expertise in knowledge engineering, expertise mapping and learning systems is essential.

You should have a proven ability to institutionalize continuous improvement culture.

You should also have a track record of developing and applying taxonomies at scale.

Experience designing and implementing integrated knowledge platforms is a requirement.

You should possess strong leadership, collaboration and change management competencies.

Fluency in multiple languages desired given global responsibilities is preferred.
