About The Job

The Communications Specialist role will develop and execute both internal and external communication strategies in APAC that align with the organization's purpose and values. They will collaborate with departments and external parties to drive the organizations values, thought leadership, reinforce people engagement, and even brand. The Specialist will also coordinate media relations, monitor communication metrics, and provide regular reports to stakeholders.

Main Accountabilities
  • Develop and execute communication strategies that align with the organization's purpose and values
  • Leverage the organization's communication platforms and collaborate with various departments and external parties to drive appropriate communication plans and actions for internal and external audiences. This includes but is not limited to Employee Value Proposition, supporting country leadership, employee events, and business units as a communication expert.
  • Coordinate media relations activities, including drafting press releases and responding to media inquiries
  • Develop close, productive relationships with journalists and media representatives to drive positive, impactful coverage
  • Monitor and analyze communication metrics to continuously improve the effectiveness of communication efforts
  • Provide regular reports to stakeholders on communication metrics and the impact of communication efforts
  • Execute any other duties and initiatives as assigned.

About You
  • Diploma, Professional Degree in communication, journalism or equivalent.
  • Between 2 to 5 years of experience in PR or Mass Communications.
  • Digital savvy, creative, energetic and passionate about communications and people engagement.
  • Excellent English in written and oral communications skills with the ability to be persuasive.
  • Have good content creation and design sense.
  • The ability to adapt to the organizations tools to strategize and implement the communications activity.
  • Familiar in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop & InDesign.
  • Fluency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effect and Blender is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in Content Management System, HTML, and CSS is also an added advantage.
  • Being multilingual (written/verbal) is an added advantage (English, Bahasa Malaysia, Cantonese, Mandarin, etc. ).
