JOB DESCRIPTION

About The Role:

As Project Procurement Manager (PPM) you will be responsible for all the procurement activities on a project or proposal, from purchasing, through expediting and inspection, delivery of equipment and materials to the jobsite / yard, and management of all concerns up to purchase order close-outs.

The projects we execute in T.EN involve between 140 to 300 purchase orders covering rotating equipment (compressors, pumps, ..), pressure vessels / heat exchangers, heaters and boilers, packages, systems, electrical, instrumentation, structural steel and piping, and the PPM can draw on all the in-house expertise to manage these with success.

You will be part of the project task force, reporting operationally to the Project Director / Manager, and working as a team with:
  • The project task force engineering, schedule, cost control and legal managers
  • The project Vendor Performance (expediting + inspection) Manager and Project Transport & Logistics Manager and their execution teams
  • The specialized Purchasing Section Heads and their buyers
  • The Global Sourcing & Procurement (GS&P) specialized Category Managers.

The shared objective is to deliver equipment and materials in budget, in quality and on time in full conformity with the project requirements.

The PPM is also the contact for the client procurement representative, updating the client on all progress matters and managing any subject requiring client approval.

The below are the PPMs main actions / responsibilities:
  • Project set-up
    • Analysis of all contractual documentation and integration of requirements for procurement
    • Definition of purchasing strategies (with Category Managers and Section Heads)
    • Management of the issue of procurement-related procedures, set-up of the execution document templates (enquiries, reports, ..) and IT tools
    • Manning / mobilization plan à manhours control
  • Purchasing
    • Ensure the purchasing cycles are respected, to issue the purchase orders on time
    • Manage, with the Purchasing Section Heads, the defined strategies to obtain the best price, commercial and contractual conditions, and delivery time
    • Manage all contractual aspects and execution concerns up to purchase order close-out, including liquidated damages and back-charges, issue of vendor performance feedback.
  • Purchase Order Execution
    • Manage and support:
      • The Project VPM Manager for a proactive manufacturing and testing / inspection execution, being involved personally in execution concerns to close out quickly and efficiently
      • The Project Transport & Logistics Manager to ensure the correct planning and optimization of the transport to site, with a focus on non-standard equipment and shipments.
    • Manage the vendor invoicing and payment with the Post-Order Section Head.


About You:

We are looking for a proactive and strategic, results-orientated team player with good communication skills, a full commitment to T.EN standards of ethics and compliance, and a desire to drive change in the way we work on projects and as a company.

Experience in any or all the above-described activities is of course valuable to us, however we are especially interested in those that have the right mindset to be able to become successful in the PPM role, so we will train you and ramp-up your experience within the necessary time-frame.

We would love to hear from you, and in addition to a mandatory fluency in English, here-below are our preferential requirements:
  • Master's degree in engineering, business administration, or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years overall job experience with responsibilities in one or more of the following: procurement, engineering, project management, sales, project controls

Experience in contractual negotiation
