If you share our determination to drive the transition to a low-carbon future, then this could be the job for you. We are currently seeking a Security Supervisor for night shift, reporting directly to Site Security Manager to join our Security team based in Ensenada, BC, Mexico.

About the Job

Main Accountabilities;

• Monitors security guards performance and provides timely and specific feedback including disciplinary and performance reviews.
• Oversees the nightly workflow, schedules, and assignments of security officers.
• Provides and/or implements security and risk mitigation protocols and procedures for the ECA LNG site, and designated construction areas.
• Provides specialized physical security for and monitors access to limited and restricted access areas such as the warehouse and inventory areas, network equipment areas, project offices, and employee files.
• Conducts regular site walk-throughs and security inspections.
• Takes proactive steps to provide a safe and secure working environment for all project employees.
• Performs other security focused related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by the Site Security Manager.
• Liaises with project Stakeholders/contractors in addressing security related issues and concerns.
• Onsite Security Guard Force: Provide administrative and technical support to improving security procedures, policies, protocols.
• Respond to security incidents on/off sites.
• Participate in Emergency Response Team (ERT) and protocols. ERT Acting officer: on-call/duty at night.
• Prepares and conducts Inductions for new hires and existing staff including training(s) on security related risks and threats toward project employees and assets.

About You

Wed love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:

Education / Certification and Experience

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Preferred; Bachelors/associate degree preferred.
• Three years physical security experience.
• Two years security supervisory experience.
• Two years security site construction experience.

Skills and Attributes

• Proficient & knowledge of Access Control systems and software.
• Knowledge of CCTV installation & operation.
• Extensive knowledge and ability to provide training on security policies and procedures.
• Ability to develop emergency management protocols.
• Excellent management and supervisory skills.
• Self-motivated; strong ability to independently make decisions and resolve problems.
• Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and flexibility.
• Ability to work with confidential information.
• Proven ability to multi-task and work well within a team setting.
• Positive and professional with a friendly and outgoing personality.
• Ready to embrace new tasks and working practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Fluent English speaker.
