Airswift (Air Energi Caspian LLP) is currently looking for a FE HVAC Advisor (for KZ passport holders) for one of our large project in Atyrau, 52. Job Description:
We are seeking an HVAC Advisor that is self-directed and capable of providing subject matter expertise in a culturally diverse organization, residential in Atyrau, KZ. This position is considered a technical expert and shall provide multidisciplinary technical expertise and solutions for new and existing facilities supporting the I/C, Mechanical, Civil & Structural, Electrical regarding the HVAC discipline to the organization. Other responsibilities inclue developing and updating specifications, support technical programs/projects, provide oversight and resolutions on designs for capital projects for major upgrades, train and mentor engineers on the HVAC discipline.
Job Specification and requirements:
• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or discipline equivalent
• Relevant work experience 15 - 20+ years working on large international projects. The selected candidate is expected to have extensive HVAC engineering experience in facilities supporting complex oil & gas processing facilities, preferably with high-pressure, and sour gas environments.
• Demonstrates competency in a broad range of technical skills with emphasis on HVAC systems. Typical HVAC applications include (but not limited to) building pressurization, electrical area classification, material corrosion, system automation, interface with Fire and Gas Systems, partial load design/control, system balancing (both air side and hydronic side), and steam heating system.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, AHRI, AMCA, API, ARI, NFPA, DW/144, ASTM, ISO, BS EN standards and preferably includes GOST, SNIP RK. Thorough knowledge and extensive experience in implementing and interpretation of company, local and international industry/regulatory codes, and standards.
• Must be self-directed and capable to provide subject matter expertise in a culturally diverse organization. Manage multiple interfaces and prioritize work from multiple customers in a cross-cultural, multi-functional environment.
• Knowledgeable and participates in Agile project delivery methods, direct and support project deliverables and issues in all design phases (pre-FEED, FEED, Detail Design)
• Champion and ensure the use of safe work practices and procedures, acting role model with respect to safety leadership behaviors.
• Mentoring skills to train & mentor employees, including coaching. Position requires the ability to provide engineering services and coaching / mentoring in areas of expertise.
• Language skills: Kazakh, Russian, English (intermediate level, spoken, business, technical language)

• Specific skills the candidate shall have:
- Preparation of load calculation, ventilation calculation, equipment selection, ductwork/piping sizing, system layout, alarm management, technical specifications for engineering design, fabrication, installation, testing and inspection of HVAC system for plant process treatment, facility, and utilities in accordance with requirements of process technology, climatic, air venting conditions, as well as local and international technical norms.
- Execution of engineering works ensuring compliance of engineering design deliverables to contract conditions, technical assignment, design data and technical norms.
- Review and comment on technical decisions applied to engineering design, installation, testing and inspection of HVAC equipment and plumbing system.
- Knowledge and experience in testing and balancing, completion, commissioning, and start-up, of HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of control diagrams and sequences of operation for control HVAC system.
- Application and selection of various types of HVAC equipment including air handling units, fans, coils, condensing units, chiller, furnaces, pumps, and valves.
- Provide technical guidance for design groups, contractors, and operations within own functional profile boundaries
