Our client is seeking a Full-Time Plant Systems Application Engineer to support US based LNG export facility and service the global demand for North American natural gas. This Arlington, VA-based position will support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies.

Responsibilities:
  • Possess a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in designing, developing, and troubleshooting Enterprise Interface Integration on platforms such as SAP PI/PO and Integration Suite.
  • Analyze requirements and design integrations according to specifications.
  • Hands-on experience with various adapters including REST, HTTPS, SOAP, SFTP, JDBC, MAIL, and PROXY.
  • Proficient in establishing integrations using the SAP Cloud Connector.
  • Knowledgeable about security protocols such as TLS, SFTP, OAUTH, API keys, PGP Keys, Certificates, and key-based authentications.
  • Maintain security artifacts within the Integration Suite.
  • Monitor Integration Flows within the Integration Suite.
  • Develop and maintain API Endpoints on Integration Suite APIM.
  • Experienced in common integration patterns such as A2A, B2B, On-Premise to Cloud, and Cloud to Cloud.
  • Configure PI/PO Automatic Alerts.
  • Develop Integration Flows on Integration Suite.
  • Create mappings using PI/PO GUI, CPI GUI, XSLT, and Groovy Mapping.
  • Oversee integration of systems and data from Plant control systems, Plant IT systems to Corporate IT systems.
  • Possess a willingness to take on additional responsibilities beyond core competency.
  • Support all interfaces across applications to/from SAP S4 HANA, FIS-ETRM, Coupa, and various third-party cloud-based/on-premise service providers.
  • Triage and resolve integration problems promptly.
  • Provide support for production issues to ensure systems remain operational.
  • Act as a liaison with vendors regarding application version enhancements, patches, etc.
  • Perform other assigned tasks.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Experience with SAP PI/PO and Integration Suite.
  • Proficient in coding languages such as JAVA, ABAP, Groovy, and XSLT.
  • Familiarity with XPATH Query, Regular Expressions.
  • Well-versed in XML and JSON.
  • Experience using troubleshooting tools such as Postman and curl.
  • Knowledge of newer integration models like API Architecture and Event Driven Architecture.
  • Sound understanding of various operating systems and databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to coordinate and communicate effectively cross-functionally.
  • Proven experience in engineering and software architecture design.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience integrating systems in a manufacturing environment, including Plant IT systems, SaaS applications, SAP S4 Hana, and cloud environments (Azure or AWS).
  • Hands-on experience managing simultaneous projects.
  • SAP Integration Suite Certification preferred.
  • Experience with integration of Plant Maintenance applications is a plus.
