Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Support Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users, resolving complex IT issues, and maintaining IT infrastructure and systems. As a Senior Support Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT services and driving user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, responding to service requests and troubleshooting IT issues via phone, email, or in person.
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals, in a timely and efficient manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and security patches, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve technical issues that require specialized expertise, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Document support activities, including issue diagnosis, resolution steps, and system configurations, in the IT service management system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
- Provide training and guidance to junior support technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices to improve technical skills and customer service capabilities within the team.
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives, contributing technical expertise and support to project teams, and assisting with the implementation of new systems and technologies.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in IT support, and make recommendations for process improvements and service enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are preferred.
- Proven experience working as a support technician or similar role, with at least 5 years of experience providing technical support in a corporate environment.
- Strong technical expertise in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues across a variety of platforms and technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and identify root causes effectively.
- Experience with IT service management tools and processes, including incident management, problem management, and change management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with end-users at all levels of the organization.
- Strong customer service orientation, with a focus on delivering high-quality support and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Experience working in the energy or industrial sector is a plus.
- Must be eligible to work in Qatar.
