To provide necessary technical service including inspection and testing of stationary mechanical system (equipment & components) as scheduled activity or during break-down/ shutdown repair & maintenance works as to ensure integrity and reliability of system. Provide necessary technical support related to corrosion and material selection that support to review the corrosion loop, CPP and Material selection for new projects.

Responsibilities

1. To follow and/or ensure the adherence of UNITED/SABIC SHEM standards and relevant procedures/ work-instructions during the execution of jobs

2. To inspect and/or supervise the third-party inspection of stationary mechanical system (equipment or components like heat exchanger, boiler, furnace, vessels, towers, columns, PSVS etc.) as a notified scheduled activity or plant maintenance/repair job during breakdown or shutdown

3. To perform visual inspection of completed welds fabricated items and carry out necessary testing (including NDT).

4. To assist Manager in implementation of RBI program monitor, analyze, review and update data collected for RBI from all process units.

5. Lead or be a member of RCA for issues related to assigned plants for finding the root cause.

6. To review the corrosion loop and Critical Process Parameter (CPP).

7. Conduct a Monthly Analysis for reviewing CPP excursion to evaluate the asset integrity impact.

8. Conduct technical studies to analyze the cause of failure for static equipment and piping in the assigned plants and recommend remedial measures.

9. Conduct failure analysis for static assets that have high mechanical integrity, economical and EHSS impact.

10. To maintain and monitor equipment history (including requisite transactions in SAP 5

11. To implement WPQT (Welding proficiency qualification test) and RQT (Requalification test) and maintain the records as per stated procedures and work instructions

12. To carry out technical evaluation of change proposals from mechanical integrity & reliability point of view, as & when requested

13. To assist department in compliance of QMS (ISO 9001:2008) and EMS (ISO 14001:2004) & OHSAS 18001:2007.

14. To give input to Manager for weekly and other reports.

15. To assist department in preparation of annual budget.

16. On-job-training of fresh technicians and engineers.

Minimum Qualifications (degree, training, or certification required)

• Engineering graduate-Mechanical, Metallurgy.
  
• Certified in API 510, 570 or 653.
  
• Certified in API 571 or Attend training related to Basic Corrosion.
  
• Certified as Coating Inspector CIP Level II.
  
• Certified as Cathodic Protection Tester Level I.
  
• Certified as Welding Inspector CWI/CSWIP.
  
• Certified in API 936.
  
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in process/chemical plant (preferably petrochemical or refineries)
