Our client is seeking a Full-Time Azure Security Engineer to support US based LNG export facility and service the global demand for North American natural gas. This Arlington, VA-based position will support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced professional with expertise in Cloud Security and Networking technologies, including Azure Security suite, Microsoft 365 Security, CSPM/CWPP/CNAPP Compliance, Identity Federation (Entra ID, SSO), Firewalls, proxy, Policy-as-Code management, and metrics generation for Security, scalability, availability, and failure rates. The ideal candidate will also possess a strong background in service delivery and strategic operations planning, with excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

As an Azure Security Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to proactively identify digital vulnerabilities within the Cloud environment and ensure the protection of information assets and technologies. This includes:
  • Assessing cloud environments and evaluating security posture.
  • Managing Entra ID User, IAM concepts within Azure Active Directory (AAD), including user and group management, conditional access policies, Enterprise app, SSO, OAuth, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
  • Implementing Azure Defender EDR policies, Purview DLP, for Azure IaaS/PaaS/SaaS/Microsoft 365, with integration of Sentinel, Security Center, and Compliance Center.
  • Securing workflows within Microsoft Office 365 applications, such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and Power Platform.
  • Monitoring SIEM and analyzing potential threat events using Security tools like Tenable, Crowdstrike ArcticWolf XDR solutions.
  • Conducting Threat Hunting and identifying potential Indicators of Compromise (IOCs).
  • Participating in cybersecurity strategy, security awareness programs, security architecture, and incident response as part of the Cyber Security team.
  • Maintaining and publishing up-to-date cybersecurity policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Evaluating new cybersecurity threats and IT trends to develop effective security controls.
  • Supporting disaster recovery policies and ensuring business critical services are recovered in the event of disasters or incidents.
  • Responding to potential security breaches, coordinating response efforts, and recommending corrective actions.

Requirements:
  • Azure Cloud Security experience is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Enterprise-scale reference architecture IaaS/PaaS/SaaS.
  • Expertise in cloud security and vulnerability management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure and design of secure architecture, Microsoft 365 Applications, and Cloud automations.
  • Experience with Azure Security native/3rd party tools, CSPM, CWPP, CNAPP.
  • Experience in conducting Cloud risk assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience, including scripting and automation with Terraform, ARM, Bicep, AZ CLI/PowerShell, JSON templates.
  • Strong knowledge of Identity and Access management principles and tools, such as Azure Entra ID, Azure ADDS, B2C, B2B, SSO, SAML, OAuth.
  • Experience in creating architecture patterns for public cloud and cloud-native solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with IaC tools like ARM, Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, AZCLI, GitHub.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience designing and planning Azure deployments in enterprise environments.
  • Experience in creating Incident Response plans, Ransomware/DDOS response strategies.
  • Certification: AZ500, MS-102, AZ-104.
