Job Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Snubbing Superintendent to oversee and coordinate hydraulic workover (HWO) and snubbing operations in Brunei. This is a resident position beginning in September 2025 for a minimum of 12 months, with a particular focus on planning and executing two velocity string operations scheduled to begin around August 2026.
You will act as a technical and operational authority for snubbing operations, working closely with the Wells team to ensure all operations are planned, mobilized, and executed safely and efficiently. This role will also involve technical input during the call for tender process and full supervision during operational phases.
Key Responsibilities:

• Tender & Contracting Support:
  
  • Provide technical expertise in reviewing hydraulic workover and snubbing tender packages.
  • Support commercial negotiations by advising on operational feasibility, equipment specification, and service deliverables.
• Pre-Operation Planning:
  
  • Participate in and support pre-SIT / SIT (System Integration Testing) for the snubbing unit.
  • Collaborate with the Wells team to prepare for upcoming operations, including:
    
    • Equipment mobilization and readiness
    • Review and input on operational programs and procedures
    • Development of contingency plans and emergency well control flowcharts
    • Creation of bridging documents between contractor and operator teams
• Operational Supervision:
  
  • Act as Snubbing Superintendent during live operations, ensuring clear communication and execution across all teams.
  • Serve as a key part of the chain of command to drive safety, procedural compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide on-the-ground decision-making and technical support throughout the job lifecycle.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory or superintendent role specifically related to snubbing or hydraulic workover operations
• Proven experience in planning, mobilization, and execution of live well snubbing campaigns
• Strong understanding of HWO units, well control, SIT processes, and velocity string operations
• Solid grounding in wellsite safety leadership, risk assessment, and contingency planning
• Ability to contribute to technical and commercial tender processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Physically fit and able to work offshore/onshore as required
• Valid well control certification (e.g., IADC) and relevant offshore survival and safety training
