Personal Attributes, Education & Qualifications
- A degree in a relevant engineering or technology discipline i.e., MSc, BEng, BSc (Hons) or similar. Professional Engineer Chartered status registered with recognised National institute is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel internationally and relocated to work sites including offshore.
- Be able to work independently with little supervision but strong sense of responsibility
- A good command of English both verbal and written.
- A good command of verbal Mandarin with reading being an advantage.

Position Recommended Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Minimum 15 years of work experience in oil and gas of which 10 years must be related to upstream offshore sector. Project and operational Experience in a similar role with an Oil and gas Operator an advantage.
- Familiar with all international standards and Codes of Practice.
- Previous knowledge and experience of Solar Turbines and associated TCP and PMS an advantaged.
- Extensive large EPCIC projects experience and knowledge of HV and LV electrical equipment relating to the engineering, procurement, testing, set-up, installation, pre-commissioning/commissioning and start-up of offshore oil and gas production and processing facilities.
- Previous experience in gas field operation and facilities an advantage.
- Previous knowledge and experience of Ex certified equipment.
- BOSIET or CompEx certificate is an advantage.
- Working experience in South East Asia or China is an advantage.

Position Role and Responsibilities
- Act as Company Electrical Engineer, overseeing the EPCIC contractor’s engineering for all electrical equipment and systems on offshore platforms. (HV & LV Switchboard, Power Management System, Transformer, Distribution Board, Uninterruptible Power Supply System, Motor, Generator, Other Discipline Packages, Small & Bulk Electrical Items, etc.)
- Must have significant experience in electrical package operations with regards to maintenance, engineering, procurement, factory/integration testing, installation and have worked on brownfield projects relating to electrical power systems addition and expansion, system design, FAT and SIT of systems’ components, etc.
- Respond to technical queries, deviation & exception to specifications, codes and standards, undertake and/ or participate in project studies, and liaison with equipment vendors.
- Interface and coordinate within the Company’s project management team and other discipline engineers on matters relating to engineering design, procurement, fabrication, offshore installation, brownfield construction and hook-up & commissioning and support the performance management of EPCIC Contractors.
- Ensure technical compliance, accuracy, quality and execution of all aspects of offshore design in design, procurement, fabrication, offshore installation and testing.
- Liaise with Company’s quality, pre-commissioning/ commissioning and start-up teams and assist in the review of work and start-up procedures, evaluation and resolution of technical issues, active participation in review workshops and inspection to ensure the work is carried out safely and with the minimum interruption.
