Reports To: Lead XT / Wellhead Engineer, UK     

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Lead XT/ Wellhead Engineer, (UK).  Responsible for supervising and supporting the execution of  project specific Subsea & Surface activities, including Drilling, P&A, workover and Intervention activities. Input to well program and POA’s/work instructions. Accountable for the offshore testing. Managing vendor offshore and ensuring all equipment is ready for operations in a timely manner. Main Duties & Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Input to offshore test, installation and recovery POA’s/work instructions for:
    • Surface & Subsea XT, Wellhead & mudline systems and associated tooling.
    • Conductor and casing operations.
    • Subsea & Surface riser systems.
    • Subsea test tree operations.
    • ROV Systems.
    • WOCS Systems.
  • Main offshore focal point for subsea service providers and ensure the participate in reviewing POAs’s/work instructions.
  • Support offshore DSV’s in updating lookaheads and DDRs.
  • Participate in audits and inspections as required.
  • In conjunction with the drilling engineer ensure all Well Handover documents throughout the operations are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
  • In conjunction with the drilling engineer ensure post-operations report and implement lessons learned into the end of well report.
  • Witness all Subsea & Surface testing and sign off when required.
  • Ensure all tooling is fit for purpose prior to running and all pre and post running checklists are signed off.
  • Manage all subsea rental tooling and equipment requirements offshore and ensure equipment is loaded out and back loaded when operations dictate.
  • Possible onshore work scope will include the following:
  • Participate in FAT/ SIT / HUFT operations and interface testing.
  • Attending onshore well on paper exercises when required.

ACCOUNTABLITIES:
  • Application of regulatory and industry standards and company functional specifications.
  • Wellhead, conductor and tree installation procedure and program and execution thereof.
  • Inventory management of (project) owned surface & subsea trees, wellheads and associated equipment on the drill rig
  • Co-ordination of vendor activities.
  • Manage subsea equipment maintenance and preparation offshore.
  • Ensure compliance with Management of Change procedures.
  • Ensuring suitable preservation, storage and preventative maintenance for all our UK owned surface & subsea trees, wellheads and associated equipment.
  • Equipment design change proposals.
  Internal and External Interfaces
  • Internal drilling team including drilling superintendent, drilling engineer, completions, well services.
  • Our client’s projects team
  • Offshore drill rig operations team
  • 3rd Party equipment and service providers.
Context and Environment
  • Fixed  / Adhoc offshore trips
  • Based in the UK
  • Infrequent overseas visits
  • Infrequent visits to vendors and site
  • Infrequent visits to our client’s office 
Required Competences/ Qualifications / Experience / Profile
  • Demonstrated capacity of team leadership and supervision
  • Qualification mechanical engineering or vocational training with extensive engineering / operations experience with major wellhead / tree supplier with proven track record.
  •  experience (minimum) in wellhead/ tree engineering/ operations and site supervision.
  • IWCF Well Control Certification preferred but not required.
  • Offshore survival.
