Our client, a Certified Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB), specializes in Midstream contracting serving the Rocky Mountain Region, primarily the Colorado to West Texas/NM regions. Their background is primarily in the Heavy Industrial market serving all sectors within Oil & Gas facility maintenance and construction, while also providing services for Commercial and Residential markets. The client is exponentially growing over the next few years, and is on the market for a dynamic Controller to assist with the increase of projects. Controller Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
• Public Accounting and/or CPA preferred but not required
• Must have 2-5 years of Accounting experience with recent Supervisory responsibility
• Strong leader who excels in cross functional collaboration 
• Solid communicator who can reach people at all levels of the organization
• Diligent and self-motivated, requiring little oversight or direction
• Skilled at open and frequent communication, providing clear feedback on progress made
• Experience with capital budgets and setting measurable financial goals
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Quick-Books to create and/or revise complex Excel spreadsheets and other documents in Word
• Expert knowledge in accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles according to GAAP
• Can strive and excel in a fast-paced environment, while multi-tasking frequently

Controller Responsibilities 

• The Controller position will report to the Owner/Operations Manager 
• Oversee daily operations of the Accounting Department, including A/P, A/R and G/L
• Responsible for the Financial Reporting and budgeting
• Manage and maintain the month end close process
• Lead a team of 4-5 within the Accounting Department; including training and development
• Manage annual audit, while reviewing existing systems and processes for efficiency opportunities

Controller Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
• Public Accounting and/or CPA preferred but not required
• Must have Accounting Supervisory experience
• Strong leader who excels in cross functional collaboration 
• Solid communicator who can reach people at all levels of the organization
• Must have experience in the accounting field with recent supervisory responsibility
