We are currently recruiting a Brownfields Execution Lead for a Global Oil & Gas EPC in Perth CBD on an initial 12 month contract with scope to go past this. This role who will be responsible for the safe and effective execution of all activities related to construction and commissioning for the offshore portfolio, as directed by the Project Manager
The successful candidate will direct and lead the construction disciplines (piping, structural, welding, painting, mechanical, E&I, insulation & rigging) and all commissioning activities associated for Brownfields projects during project development and execution.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare for and ensure all preparation is completed for upcoming offshore construction and commissioning scopes for the offshore implementation of all Brownfield Projects
  • Ensures Health, Safety and Environmental targets and objectives for Implementation Contractor(s) team are met
  • Close liaison with the Work Readiness Lead for preparation and execution of all offshore implementation activities
  • Coordinates and delivers required offshore personnel to implement all Brownfield Projects
  • Ensure and facilitate close liaison and relationship between onshore engineering/preparation and offshore implementation teams
  • Programme workloads and provide technical and administrative guidance to the offshore execution  team to ensure aims and objectives are effectively achieved
  • Manage the offshore project schedules within the asset maintenance IAP Plan
  • Administer Project programme to ensure implementation is in accordance with plans, designs and specifications
  • Input to HAZIDs and mitigation measures
  • Lead and Input to constructability reviews and input to project execution plans
  • Input and approval of construction and commissioning logic block diagrams
  • Review and challenge Implementation Contractor estimates (timeframes and resources) and methodology
  • Provide liaison between Perth based project team and offshore supervision
  • Audits and updates of Project Plan’s and procedures as required
  • Input to Preparation of project cost estimates
  • Attend meetings with Clients, Suppliers and / or Consultants to assist on technical issues relating to construction
  • Input to the Project procurement, subcontract, and fabrication plans
  • Liaising between contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Provide fabrication cost and schedule estimates from sub-contractors
  • Follow up on quality and delivery of fabricated items/packages
  • Prepares progress reports for project management, internal and external stakeholders
  • Managing the planning and design stages of construction projects.
  • Performing cost estimation and preparing financial projections for Construction.
  • Manage progress and productivity to achieve schedule and report progress against the schedule
  • Participate in schedule and execution development to ensure the schedule is realistic and achievable for project portfolio
  • Responsible for the allocation of discipline resources
  • Co-ordination of portfolio sub-contractors
  • Liaise and co-ordinates with Company offshore management team to drive offshore schedule
  • Management and co-ordination of industrial relations in line with management plan
Qualification & Requirements:
  • Tertiary or relevant trade qualification
  • Formal training in Project Management (PMP or equivalent) preferable
  • Strong offshore  plant brownfields construction background
  • Track record of Australian onshore construction projects
  • Experience of operating in different Oceania/Asia Pacific countries/regions preferable
  • Proven experience related to proactive control of project cost and schedule
  • Strong problem solving, management and organisation skills
  • Computer literate, extensive use of Microsoft Office suite and construction management and completion databases
  • Effective English - oral and written communication
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in relevant oil and gas engineering discipline in onshore plant construction with at least 10 years focused on construction engineering
  • Extensive experience in Australian onshore construction projects
