Location: North Sydney 

Duties and responsibilities: 

• Develop the global protection plan of the Power Plant including the grid connection constraints
• Perform Relay Coordination studies and challenging the P&C system architecture
• Design and configure Relays and checking P&C Panels drawings and its interfaces
• Managing the FAT of P&C System
• Managing the Site commissioning of P&C System
• Collaborating with Primary Engineering for instruments transformers calculation and specification
• Collaborating with SCADA Engineering for process communication integration
• Working closely with Protection relay suppliers for engineering support

Qualifications and experience wanted: 

• Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3 years of experience in protection and control engineering, preferably in the energy or utilities sector.
• Strong knowledge of relay protection principles, relay coordination, and fault analysis techniques.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools such as ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or DigSILENT PowerFactory.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
